Everything you need to put our name on a page.
Logos, colours, type, boilerplate copy and the rules that go with them, for press, partners, event organisers and anyone referencing Indian VCs. Use what is here freely as long as you follow the usage notes. If you need something that is not here, write to [email protected].

Grab the files.
Every logo comes as SVG (for print, web and anything that scales) and PNG (transparent background, 5,760px wide). Pick the colour version for light backgrounds and the white version for dark ones. The zip carries all twelve logo files plus the Link icon in cream and charcoal.

02About Indian VCs
Say it in our words.
Three lengths of boilerplate. Copy them as they are; edit the numbers only if we have published newer ones.
One line
Standard (about 70 words)
Long (about 120 words)
How to write our name
- Indian VCs: two words, capital I, capital V and C, lower-case s.
- In running text, treat it as a singular organisation: “Indian VCs is”, not “Indian VCs are”.
- Product names are two words with a capital: VC Hub, VC Stack, Venture Summit, Bharat Returns. Prism is one word.
- The web address is written indianvcs.com, lower case, no www.
- IndianVCs (one word) except inside handles and URLs
- Indian VC’s, Indian Vcs, Indian VCS, IVC, IVCs
- “Indian VC” on its own: that is a kind of fund, not us
- Translating or abbreviating the name
03Logo
One mark, two formats, three colourways.
The logo is the “Indian VCs” wordmark, set in Prata, with a red bar between the two words. The bar is called The Link. It stands for bridging the gap in Indian venture, and it is the only part of the identity that is ever red on its own.
Primary logo (horizontal)
Use this everywhere the width allows. Colour on light backgrounds, white on dark backgrounds, black only for single-colour print and stamps.
Secondary logo (stacked)
Only for spaces where the horizontal logo will not fit: square social avatars, badges, narrow columns, merchandise tags.
The Link
The red bar on its own is our icon: favicon, app icon, profile pictures at tiny sizes. It always sits inside a square tile, in the lower third with clear space below it, never centred, and it keeps the exact proportions of the bar in the logo (about 7.3 : 1). Use the cream tile on light surfaces and in app stores, the charcoal tile on dark interfaces. It never replaces the logo where the wordmark would fit.
As a graphic device
A short red bar opens a section, underlines a call to action or sits above a heading. Keep it to one per view and never stretch it into a border.
Clear space
Keep an empty area around the logo equal to the height of the lower-case x in the wordmark, on every side. Nothing enters it: no text, no other logos, no edge of the page.
Minimum size
| Mark | Screen | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary logo | 120 px wide | 30 mm wide |
| Secondary logo | 64 px wide | 18 mm wide |
| The Link icon | 32 px tile (favicon size) | 8 mm tile |
Below these sizes the serifs of the wordmark break up. Use the Link icon instead.
Which version, where
| Background | Use |
|---|---|
| Pearl Cream, white, light grey | Colour logo |
| Charcoal, Dark Cocoa, Clay Red, black-and-white photo | White logo |
| Indian VCs Red | Avoid. If unavoidable, white logo; the Link disappears, which is acceptable only here. |
| Single-colour print, embossing, engraving | Black logo |
04Dos and don’ts
Please, and please not.
Do
- Use the files from this page, unchanged.
- Choose the colourway by background: colour on light, white on dark.
- Prefer the horizontal logo; stack only when width is the constraint.
- Keep the x-height clear space on all sides.
- Keep the logo upright and in its original proportions.
- Place it on plain backgrounds or calm black-and-white photography.
- Write “Indian VCs” in text exactly as the logo spells it.
Don’t
- Recolour any part of it, including making the Link black or the wordmark red.
- Stretch, squash, rotate, skew or crop it.
- Add shadows, outlines, gradients, glows or transparency.
- Put it inside a box, circle, badge or holding shape.
- Retype the wordmark in another typeface, or in Prata yourself.
- Split the wordmark from the Link, or use the Link as a hyphen inside other words.
- Place it on busy colour photography, patterns or on Indian VCs Red.
- Use old marks: the pre-2025 “IndianVCs” logo, the Frame or any event-only lockup.
- Combine it with your logo into a single new mark.
05Colour
Cream paper, charcoal ink, one red.
The palette is deliberately small, and this page lists only the colours actually in use. Almost everything is Charcoal on Pearl Cream. Indian VCs Red is an accent: the Link, the hover state of a button, a highlight. Dark Cocoa and Clay Red are for large dark surfaces. Use the hex values for screen and the RGB values for video and decks; ask us for print references before sending anything to a press.

06Typography
A serif for the headline, a sans for the rest.
Headlines are Arapey, an editorial serif, always in Regular. Everything else, including buttons, is Switzer. Two more faces have single, narrow jobs: Prata is the logo and nothing else; Over the Rainbow is for one hand-written highlight in an impactful section, always red, small caps and underlined. If you cannot install Switzer, DM Sans is the approved stand-in.

Display · highlights only
a hand-written highlight
Over the Rainbow. Always red, small caps, underlined, one phrase per page. Avoid words containing the letter x, which renders badly in this face. Google Fonts, free.
Logo typeface · do not use
Prata
Prata exists in our identity only inside the logo. Do not set headings, names or event titles in it. Use the logo files instead of typing the wordmark.
Web-safe fallback
DM Sans replaces Switzer when it cannot be installed (email clients, some slide tools, third-party platforms). Georgia replaces Arapey in the same situations.
Two glyph gaps to know about
Arapey and Switzer have no rupee sign (₹) and no arrow (→). Text tools will substitute a different font for those characters, which looks broken in large headlines. Write “INR” or “Rs” in headlines, or ask us for the glyph-patched web fonts we use on the site.
07Imagery
Black and white, plain and calm.
Photography is always black and white. People, events and rooms are shown in plain, solid outfits against minimal, clean backdrops. Portraits sit on solid dark backgrounds in a casual professional style. Colour comes only from the red Link and, sparingly, from Clay Red surfaces around the image.
Our house conversion: greyscale, a touch more contrast (about +12%), no vignettes, no film grain, no duotone. City and landmark photography is cropped wide (roughly 2.2 : 1) and treated the same way.
- Greyscale photography of real people and real rooms
- Editorial crops: tight on faces, wide on rooms
- Sketchnote-style visual summaries for decks and posts (1200 × 627)
- Simple charts in the red ramp on cream
- Colour stock photography or colour illustration
- 3D renders, gradients, glassmorphism, neon
- Logos placed over busy photos
- Emoji in headlines or as icons
08Co-branding
Side by side, never merged.
When Indian VCs appears with a partner, sponsor or host, the two logos sit side by side with equal visual weight, separated by at least one logo-height of space or a thin vertical hairline. Match the cap height of the other wordmark to the cap height of “Indian VCs”, not the overall width.
Describe the relationship in Switzer, upper case, small: “IN PARTNERSHIP WITH”, “HOSTED BY”, “COMMUNITY PARTNER”. Do not draw a plus sign, a multiplication sign or an ampersand between the marks.
Event lockups (Venture Summit, Bharat Returns) are separate marks that we supply per event. Ask before creating one.
